Pitstamp

Privacy policy

Effective 10 August 2026 · Version 1.0

The short version. Pitstamp has no account and no server. Your vehicle records are stored on your iPhone. If you turn on sync, they are also stored in your own private iCloud database, which the developer cannot read.

Nothing is collected, sold, shared or used for advertising. There is no analytics SDK and no tracking of any kind.

1. Who is responsible

Pitstamp is developed and published by Fabian Zwoliński, an individual developer based in Poland. In this policy, “Pitstamp” means the iPhone app of that name, and “the developer” means Fabian Zwoliński.

Because the app has no server component, the developer does not host, receive or process any of the information you put into Pitstamp.

2. What Pitstamp collects

Nothing. Pitstamp does not collect personal data, does not create a user profile, does not require an account, does not ask for an email address, and does not send your records anywhere.

Specifically, the app contains:

The app's privacy manifest, which Apple publishes on the App Store product page, declares no tracking and no collected data types.

3. What is stored on your device

Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your iPhone. That includes:

Vehicle details
Name, make, model, year, drivetrain, units and currency, and any optional VIN, registration number, purchase date or note you choose to add.
Odometer readings
The values and dates you record, including corrections and meter replacements.
Service history
Visits, work performed, parts and fluids, service providers, notes and dates.
Costs
Amounts, categories, quantities, unit prices, currencies and dates.
Documents and reminders
Document types and their validity dates, plus the maintenance plan and its deadlines.
Attachments
Photos and PDFs you attach yourself, such as receipts or a registration document.
App settings
Preferences such as the chosen theme, reminder settings and whether sync is enabled. These are stored in the system preferences store, which the app declares to Apple under required-reason code CA92.1.

A VIN or a registration number can identify a specific vehicle and, indirectly, its owner. Pitstamp treats those fields as ordinary record data and never transmits them. They are optional, and the app works without them.

4. iCloud sync

Sync is off by default and is a per-device setting you control in Settings.

When you turn it on, Pitstamp mirrors your records into the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. This lets your own Apple devices stay up to date. The developer has no access to that private database and cannot read, export or restore its contents. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Turning sync off on a device stops that device from mirroring further changes. It does not delete records already stored in your iCloud account; you can remove those from your Apple ID storage settings.

5. Camera, photos and notifications

Camera and photo library

Pitstamp asks for camera or photo-library access only at the moment you choose to attach a receipt or a document. The image is copied into the app's own storage. Pitstamp does not scan your photo library, does not read location metadata for its own purposes, and does not upload images anywhere. If you decline, every other part of the app keeps working.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device from the deadlines in your own records. Nothing is sent through a push server, and the developer does not know what you were reminded about or whether you opened it. The system permission prompt only appears after you enable reminders yourself.

6. Purchases

Pitstamp Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment is made to Apple, and the developer never sees your payment details, billing address or Apple ID.

The app asks the system whether a valid purchase exists in order to unlock the paid features. That check happens between your device and Apple. Family Sharing is supported, which means a purchase can be used by members of your family group as Apple defines it.

7. Third parties

Pitstamp bundles no third-party analytics, advertising or attribution libraries. The only external parties involved are:

Importing a Fuelly CSV export reads a file you supply from your own device. Nothing is fetched from, or sent to, Fuelly or any other service.

8. Your control over the data

Because the developer holds no copy of your data, there is no retention period on the developer's side and nothing for the developer to delete on request.

9. Legal basis and your rights

Under the GDPR, a data controller is the party that decides how and why personal data is processed. For the records you keep in Pitstamp, that party is you: the data stays in your possession, on your device and in your own iCloud account. The developer neither receives nor processes it, and therefore holds nothing to which an access, rectification, erasure, portability or objection request could apply.

You can exercise the substance of those rights directly in the app at any time: view, correct, export and delete your records without asking anyone. If Apple processes personal data in connection with the App Store or iCloud, Apple acts as the controller for that processing under its own policy.

10. Children

Pitstamp is rated 4+ and contains no age-restricted content, no advertising and no user-generated content from other people. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

11. Changes to this policy

If the app ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date at the top will change. Substantive changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
